Summary:The article analyzes the essence and peculiarities of the Serbian political consolidation in Croatia in the 1980s–1990s. The author considers the reasons underlying the aggravation of the Serbian question in the course of system crisis and disintegration of Yugoslavia. Special attention is paid to the development of party and political institutions of the Serbian population in Croatia in the 1980s–1990s. The author draws a conclusion about the compelled nature of consolidation of the Serbian communities and further radicalization of the Serbian national movement.
