Description
Summary:This study investigates the evolution of different grain boundaries in two-dimensional wet foam (2D) together with the width and the roughness of the interface. The foam around the boundaries coarsened and became disordered. The level of the disorder increased with time over a range and is consistent with the results from previous studies on relatively ordered soap froths. Although the misorientation angle comprising the grain boundaries did not affect the evolution of the foam, the nature of the system boundaries had a significant effect on the degree of the disorder along the grain boundaries. This result is in good agreement with earlier published simulation results.
