Summary:This paper states that teacher training must be based on experiential learning and one of the best methodological strategies for it is dramatic simulation techniques. It is exemplified by the report of an experience in which the Theatre of the Oppressed has been used in order to develop teacher’s reflection on their educational practice. The Theatre of the Oppressed is a theoretical formulation and an aesthetic method inspired by the Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire, use dramatic techniques as an effective tool for understanding and searching alternatives to social, interpersonal and individual problems.
