Description
Summary:The Franco-Cameroonian poet Michel Feugain makes an autopsy of postmodern/postcolonial society in his poetic collection entitled figuratively Des rêves et des lignes [Dreams and Lines]. He completes his autopsy with a literary utopia. Such is the double mission of his scriptural enterprise which this paper sets to analyse through Claude Duchet sociocritic approach. In other words, bad social habits offend the poet by inspiring him "dreams"(utopia) as well as "lines"(verses) to better express his intention to build a better society. Thus, Feugain's verses are rooted in social realities and at the same time envision a radiant collective future, through praxis-writing at the fore of Jean Paul Sartre's conception of engaged literature.
