Description
Summary:This article presents a set of 3 experiments to study standing waves using low cost materials (an ordinary
computer with a normal sound board is needed). This set of experiments allow to measure speed of sound
in the air, sound wave frequency and sound resonance frequency inside a tube. One additional advantage of
each experiment, besides the simplicity, is that can be realized in one module class (80 min). First theoretical
fundaments of stationary waves on tubes are presented. Assembling confi guration and a procedure guide
are shown for each experience.
