Summary:Object and purpose of research. Internal waves, development of methods and research tools for hydrodynamic processes taking place in the Ocean. Materials and methods. The paper investigates the possibility to determine the parameters of internal waves in the Ocean by means of lidar measurements. Main results. Based on the suggested method, the paper justifies that lidar tools are efficient and rational research tools for internal waves. Conclusion. This procedure offers additional capabilities for hydrophysical studies in the Ocean and has good prospects of practical use in the studies of internal waves.
