<p>The article describes the differences between categories of quality and efficiency in relation to the practice of social work with families and children. Building on the qualimetry, political economy and theory of social work, the authors propose their research findings with the specific social protection of families and children. There have conceptual problems of qualimetric measurements and assessments of the quality of social work in addition to the definition of efficiency.</p><p><strong>Goal</strong></p><p>Identification of key theoretical aspects of the categories of quality and efficiency of social assistance to children and families in difficult situations.</p><p><strong>Method or the methodology of the work</strong></p><p>The comparative method, classification, analysis and synthesis, their qualitative methods.</p><p><strong>Findings</strong></p><p>The theoretical description of the essential features of categories of quality and efficiency in relation to social work with families and children. The conceptualization of a scientific approach to the measurement of quality and benchmarking.
