The problem of depopulation and demographic aging of the population is one of the most important that Serbia faces and it represents one of the causes of regional inequalities. After the Second World War, the territory of the municipality of Crna Trava was affected by the great demogeographic changes that affected the transformation of this region. Demogeographic changes are clearly visible and are characterized by a decrease in the total population, population density and natural growth. As a consequence, there have been negative changes in the structural characteristics of the population. Depopulation is the dominant process, and the socio-economic situation in this municipality and the entire region does not provide opportunities for demographic and economic revitalization.https://scindeks-clanci.ceon.rs/data/pdf/1450-7552/2017/1450-75521702343K.pdfdepopulationdemographic agingrural areascrna travaagriculture
