A subperiosteal dissectionwas performed to reach the tumor. The cyst was removed underdirect vision. Results: All lesions were completely removed. Theoperative time did not exceed 60 minutes. The tumors measured1 to 3 cm in diameter. There were no complications and theaesthetic result was considered satisfactory without visible scars. Conclusions: The video-assisted approach to pediatric dermoidcysts in the face is effective and results in no visible facial scars. It is a safe procedure. Direct vision excision assures completeremoval of the tumor.http://www.einstein.br/revista/arquivos/PDF/350-Einstein%20vol4%20n3_203.pdfDermoid cyst/surgeryOrbital neoplasms/surgeryFacial neoplasms/surgeryVideo-assisted surgery/methods
