Description
Summary:The transformation of urban space over the past twenty-five years in a city full of historical architecture, as is Paris, has been shaped by the construction of exceptional facilities. A particularly interesting intervention model can be seen in the Masséna area, where an open campus, or anti-campus, was built over nearly two decades. It has modified the perception of what the present and future should be of university spaces that are introduced into the fabric of the city. The Masséna project is a recent example of urban renewal with the introduction of diverse activities and the conservation of historical industrial architecture, which has transformed the city and favoured organised densification.
