Summary:Taking the notion of translatability as the starting point, this article develops reflections on the bonds between translation and literary theory, indicating alternatives for dealing with the problem and presenting a speculative panorama of how, in some literary theory movements throughout the XXth and XXIst centuries provided approaches and contrasts with translation issues. The movements highlighted are: Russian formalism, structuralism and deconstruction, along with the reception and effect theories.
