A Review on Structure of the Polar Ionosphere
Characteristic features of the structure of the polar ionosphere in the polar cap, auroral oval zone and trough region, and physical processes affecting the polar ionosphere are summarized. Polar disturbances of the thermosphere having an influence upon the ionosphere are also mentioned.
