Description
Summary:This article aims to analyze a founding post-3/11 masterpiece, Kami-Sama 2011 by Kawakami Hiromi (Kōdansha, 2011). This rewriting of a previous work, which can be seen as a palimpsest, shows how a fragmented world can influence a fragmented act of writing, and how a contaminated one can also contaminate literature. Between the original and the palimpsest remains what can be called a “non lieu” (a concept developed by Alexis Nouss in La Condition de l’exilé, MMSH, 2015), a third textual area in which an active otherness is at work.
