Description
Summary:The use of the Turkic language as a language of science in Anatolia comes to the end of the 14th century. From this date, in many areas copyright / translation works have been written. Some of these works have been summarized, enlarged or rearranged by some scholars who lived after the period of their writing. The first known copyright medical-pharmacy dictionary, Lugat-i Müşkilât-ı Eczâ, written by Lârendevi Dervîş Siyahî in the early 17th century, is one of the works prepared later by another person. In Lugat-ı Müşkilât-ı Eczâ, the plants, compounds, foods, diseases used in medicine are given Turkish equivalents in Arabic, Persian, Greek, Hindi, Syriac, Armenian and Hebrew. Dictionary, only the first letters of the words are arranged in order in the Arab alphabet Considering that Lugat-ı Müşkîlât-ı Eczâ is not sufficiently useful, this work was arranged by Mustafa İsâmeddîn, who had lived in the 18th century and gave works on many subjects such as commentary, translation, rhetoric and religion alphabetically according to the Arabic alphabet, taking into account all the letters of the words, not just the first letters. In this study the work called Müretteb Müfredât-ı Siyâhî will be presented these two works will be compared and we will present our determinations about what kind of novelty has emerged in the work of Mustafa İsâmeddîn.
