In the title compound, C18H12Cl2O2S, the dihedral angle between the thiophene ring and the naphthalene ring system is 2.13&#8197;(4)&#176;. In the crystal, pairs of weak intermolecular C&#8212;H...O hydrogen bonds form centrosymmetric dimers.
