The aim of this article is to describe the forms and functions of metalinguistic productions in Speech-Language Pathology interventions with children presenting developmental language disorders. The qualitative analysis of these productions shows great heterogeneity in the forms of metalanguage moves. These moves are marked by the discourse of the other and are part of patterns of verbal action. They offer an appropriate context to develop linguistic and cognitive skills.http://studiidelingvistica.uoradea.ro/docs/9-2-2019/pdf-uri/DaSilvaGenest.pdfmetalinguistic movesspeech-language pathologist – child interactiondevelopmental language disorderlanguage strategiesscaffolding
