Summary:Reflection article. Objective: To inquire about the relationship between Didactics, Theater Teaching and the incursion of Theater at present in different disciplines of study. Methodology: Content analysis was used; the documentary source was consolidated from representative literary works of theater and studies carried out in the last two decades. Results: Teaching as a literary genre in Classical Greece, the value of the human being in the works of the Renaissance, the romantic theater in the 19th century, Didactics and theatrical technique, the representation of social and political reality in the 20th century, the integration of theater in the teaching and learning processes in some study disciplines in the 21st century stand out. Conclusions: Emphasis is placed on the insertion of theater and simulations in areas such as Medicine (teaching of psychiatric interview, psychiatric clinical history, exploration of mental examination and psychopathology), or Legal Sciences (fundamental techniques of oral judgment, argumentation capacity and orality, legal communicative ability) among others.
