Summary: | Abstract
One of the important sport activities and role out in the international titleholder is the weight lifting. Several countries are nowadays sought to develop this sport to achieve the higher levels. This sport is characterized having uniqueness, individuality and self abilities of athlete. The basic components are required via upgrade the performance such as the physical skills of the weight lifter as well as the biomechanical use of the skills and the psychological, intellectual, social and physical measurements. The physical training should be developed by the potential components to realize ideal performance and speed.
Speed is one of the essential elements to the weight lifter, in addition to the other elements such as strength, flexibility. The amount of these elements owned by the weight lifter himself in body limbs plays a role to identify the trajectory of the weight barbell on the right and left ends in snatch lift. Some references refer that the is a sort of differences whatsoever between the trajectory formulaic to the barbell between right and left ends (Al-Obaidi, 2001: E-F). The references pointed out the reasons of such difference are the differences in the amount of flexibility owned by the lifter in the right and left limbs (Vorobyev, 1978: 101-104; Less, 1999: 304). The strength is also taken into account in weight speed as the basis of snatch lift success.
The researchers found that the topic is well deserved to be proved scientifically, through the technical observation and reduce the failure snatch lift.
The paper aimed at the following:
• Identifying the values of Kinematic (spaces, timing, and speed) of the trajectory to the weight barbell of both ends (right and left) in snatch lift.
• Identifying the differences between trajectory speed of weight barbell between right and left.
The researchers proposed that there are significant differences between trajectories in the speed of weight barbell between the right and left ends in snatch lift.
The methods of the study included:
• Human resources: weight lifters in Nineveh Province (advanced groups).
• Temporal resources: 1-9/2007 to 3-9/2007
• Special recourses: Weight lifting hall – University of Mosul.
The researchers used descriptive method to be suitable with the nature of the research. The sample consisted of (6) players of advanced groups in Nineveh Province. The have had advanced steps in country championships. The researchers selected measures, tests and technical observations to analyze data collected. To do this, two Sony Mi 8 (tape Mp120), they were put 8 m distance from the left and right sides to measure the Kinematic variables of the barbell. The height of the lens was 1 m of ground. The record speeds of camera were 25 per second. Group of software were used to have the variables (I film), (Adobe Photoshop 8), (Auto Cad 2002) and (Excel)
The researchers used the following:
• Arthmatic regression.
• Standard deviation
The researchers concluded the following:
• There are no significant differences to the barbell speed in snatch lift between right and left.
• There are differences in the values of total speed to the trajectory of weight barbell between right and left.
The study recommended:
• Developing the speed of the weight lifters equally to both sides, because it has an effect on Kinematic values and the trajectory formulaic.
• Conducting the similar studies to identify the effect of strength physical on trajectory in left and right sides. |
