Description
Summary:This work examines the structure as well as the language in J. Goytisolo's "Señas de Identidad", a writer who, whith the publication of this novel significantly contributed to the renewal of the Spanish literary scene during the decade of the Sixties. This novel in its own way opens a new stage in the fiction of the author himself, as it is characterized by the search for mew ways of expression and also by an even greater distancing from the tradicional fictive forms. This distancing is marked by the rupture of chronology in the presentation of the events in the distortion of language, in the fuller integration of form and contents, in the orientation of the writing towards the discursive over the historical and in the growing importance of the integration of intertextual elements.
