Description
Summary:The review article provides data on prevalence of the chronic renal disease in the world and in the Russian Federation, major growth factors of persons with chronic renal disease (CRD). Special attention is focused on criteria of early CRD diagnostics and modern approaches to deceleration of progression rates based on results of key international clinical studies. A justification of the strict control of the arterial pressure and application of the antihypertensive agents affecting rennin-angiotensin-aldosterone system for the purposes of nephroprotection is demonstrated.
