However, this may have other impacts on the power system. This document describes the main principles of UPS system operation. In addition, the paper presents tests on two UPS to verify the quality of power supplied to the system that the UPS feeds. For this purpose, the power factor, the voltage unbalance factor, the frequency variation and the voltage and current waveform were recorded due to the presence of harmonics.
