Structural cartography is a rigorous and interdisciplinary method that reveals the structure of a literature knowledge domain through the methodological notions found in historical research, bibliographic investigation, citation network analysis and cartography. This paper intends to provide readers with a broad understanding of the method of structural cartography for literature review and how to apply it.
