Description
Summary:With the growing of the suburbanization, the « consumption » of agricultural land increases. The countries around the Mediterranean Sea are especially concerned. The land use planning should contain this dynamic, but its effectiveness depends on the relations between land ownership and land tenure system. Crossing cadastral data and farmers’ cultures declarations for the CAP, this work highlights the links between land property and land tenure in four municipalities of the Pisa conurbation in Tuscany. The research identifies specific land structures between the plain of Pisa and the mountain next to, the “Monte Pisano”. Beyond different issues for agriculture, both areas face important issues related to natural risks. The land governance must integrate both this duality of structures and this various environmental issues.
