Summary:Southern part of the Koice valley is one of the most polluted areas in the Slovak Republic. Sources of pollution has a negative impact on the quality of groundwater, where the levels of pollutants often exceed the maximum admissible concentration for drinking water. Since the part of local villages has no public water pipeline, the polluted water from wells are the only local sources of water. This fact has a negative influence on the state of the health in the region. The following article is dealing with assessment of grounwater pollution, including mathematical metods of data processing.
