Summary: | The La2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 ceramics is a promising candidate for thermal barrier coatings. Few work has focused on the substitution of La site of La2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 ceramics in order to improve thermal expansion coefficient and reduce thermal conductivity. In this work, Gd doped-La2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 ceramics was prepared by solid state reaction. The (La1-xGdx)2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 exhibits a composite structure with fluorite structure and/or pyrochlore structure. The (La1-xGdx)2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 ceramics exhibit high thermal expansion coefficient and low thermal conductivity under high temperature. The (La1-xGdx)2(Zr0.7Ce0.3)2O7 material would be one potential TBCs under high temperature. |
