Description
Summary:The aim of this work was mainly to study the distributions of selenium(Se)resource in soils to provide basic information for the exploitation of Se-enriched agricultural products in Ili District, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Based on the analysis data of total Se content from 158 soil samples in six counties, the distribution characteristics of Se and the correlation with soil physicochemical properties were analyzed with the statistic method. The results indicated that the geometric mean value of Se content in the soils of Ili district was 0.33 mg·kg-1, ranged from 0.14 mg·kg-1 to 2.75 mg·kg-1. The soil in Zhaosu county had the highest average, and Gongliu county had the lowest. The statistics analysis showed that the percentage of low Se soil, full Se soil(0.17~0.45 mg·kg-1)and high selenium soil(0.45~3.00 mg·kg-1) was 2.38%, 78.57% and 19.05%, respectively. The content of total Se was significantly positive correlated with organic matter, available potassium and available nitrogen(P<0.01), while pH showed negative correlation with Se(P<0.01). High level of Se content in soils provided an opportunity to develop the Se-enriched agricultural products in Ili district.
