<p>The current situation the world is experiencing with the Covid-19 pandemic is bringing forward the weaknesses of the prevailing economic system. In these circumstances, a demand for a change of paradigm is emerging, and the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) and social entrepreneurship play a key role in such scenario. This paper reflect on this situation and emphasizes the importance of going in depth in the field of research of SSE and social entrepreneurship, focusing in early-career researchers whose hands may hold some important keys for our future.</p>
