Summary:Every year, with the arrival of changeable fall weather we are being attacked by more than 200 types of viruses that cause acute respiratory virus infection. That are coronaviruses, adenoviruses, influenza viruses, parainfluenza, etc. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the situation, and caused particular concern in the medical community. Given that the damage of the body begins with the upper respiratory tract, one of the first specialists to encounter this disease is an otorhinolaryngologist. We turned to the Professor of the Department of  otorhinolaryngology of the RUDN University, head of the center of otorhinolaryngology “On-clinic”, Irina Kirichenko, MD with questions about the treatment and prevention of complications of acute respiratory virus infection in children.
