Summary: | Several predisposing factors are described for breast disorders or secondary disorders that compromise udder health and consequently the productivity and milk quality of female goats in different species. The pathogens that trigger mastitis have several virulence factors that lead to colonization and infection of this organ. In this situation, the animal must have an appropriate response and develop an immune response (innate or specific), where innate immunity is the predominant response in primary defense following microbial invasion. This reaction is present and is activated at the site of infection by the action of various stimuli. This article addresses the aspects involved in triggering innate immunity in goat udders. |
