| Summary: | In this work, we concentrate on the thought of Aureliano
Candido Tavares Bastos (1839-1875) relating to public
instruction from, in particular, their performance at A Província
and its consequences in shaping a public space in Brazil consists
of elements more democratic. For this, we rely on categories:
