Summary: | <p><strong>Background</strong>: Wilms’ tumor is a malignant neoplasia whose origin has been attributed to disorders in the renal histogenesis. It has been described as the fifth malignant neoplasia in pediatrics; it is the commonest renal tumor.</p><p><strong>Objective</strong>: to describe a series of cases with a diagnosis of Wilms’ tumor, treated at the department of surgery of the “Octavio de la Concepción y la Pedraja” Pediatric Hospital of Holguín, from January 2017 to December 2019.</p><p><strong>Methods</strong>: an observational, descriptive case-series study was carried out. The sample was made up of ten patients with a diagnosis of this type of tumor whose parents gave consent to participate in the study. The following variables were assessed: age at diagnosis, sex, tumor stage, time of diagnosis, type of treatment and clinical progress.</p><p><strong>Results</strong>: the female sex predominated; half of the patients were diagnosed at an appropriate age; coincidentally, half of them presented clinical stage II; the time of diagnosis was adequate in 70 % of the patients, before 72 hours of admission. 60 % underwent primary nephrectomy. 90 % of the patients progressed to recovery.</p><p><strong>Conclusions</strong>: the cases with Wilms’ tumor were described. The time of diagnosis was adequate and almost all progressed to recovery.</p>
