Description
Summary:The main goal of this research is to define differences in performance of situational efficiency between junior male and female participants at the World Judo Championships held in Tunis 2000. years. The analysis is based on 334 fights of junior male fighters and 249 fights of junior female fighters, in all seven categories. Fights were monitored using 18 variables for situational efficiency in judo. For determination of differences between indicators for situational efficiency the χ2 (Chi Square) test was used. The results of the χ2 tests show statistically important differences between junior male and female participants, in performance of situational efficiency for: Groups of judo techniques; Subgroups of judo techniques; Quantitative indicators for judo fights; Situational efficiency of individual throwing techniques and grappling techniques. Techniques mostly used by male junior participants were: seoi-nage, uchi-mata, ouchi- gari, kata-guruma, ko-uchi-gari etc. Techniques mostly used by female junior participants were: seoi-nage, o-uchi-gari, uchi-mata, osoto-gari, harai-goshi, ko-uchi-gari etc. Obtained results could contribute to the better understanding of the monitoring and analyzing of parameters of situation’s efficiency in judo for seniors in all level of competition. Monitoring and controlling of the efficiency of the relevant technical-tactical parameters in judo that are expressed by seniors could be directly applied into training process so that optimal choice of content and load for training could be assured. On that way it could be also compared with higher demanding levels of competitions, all in terms of achieving better quality of judo, as a martial art.
