Description
Summary:With the advent of liberalization in the interconnected power system, the operation based on market mechanisms and the gradual incorporation of renewable energy, the generation, transmission and demand roles are changing, while the load-frequency control mechanisms remain in their original form. This makes predictable arising training, research, development and innovation needs to meet new challenges. In this context, this paper tries to provide the necessary information for engineering professionals related to this field that need to consolidate and update their knowledge and to serve as a basis for initiating research. To do this, simulation of a realistic power system are presented and the legal, regulatory and practical application framework in the national and international context are reviewed and updated.
