Description
Summary:The present study investigates who were the teachers of disciplines related to History, in the courses of Geography and History of Faculdade Católica of Sergipe, the ‘old FAFI’, from 1951 to 1962. Through oral statements, records, books and other sources it was possible to infer that the disciplines of the History course were taught predominantly by bachelors in Law. Thus, what we had was a training course for History teachers whose professors were lawyers. They also had taught History in other educational institutions of Aracaju as well. Nevertheless, as the college students graduated in Sergipe the status of faculty changed significantly.
