Summary: | To comply with the United Nations injunction, several African states are offering an open archive platform integrating all of their digital services. The main objective is to share national information, make accessible to researchers, policymakers and the public demographic, government, development data and statistics and the level of public expenditure. Behind this public communication project, there is also the promotion of the ideals of transparency, efficiency and effectiveness in government action, but also of participative democracy, collaboration and openness. However, several types of difficulties prevent citizens from accessing or using these platforms. Hence the need for mediation, understood here as linking and recontextualization allowing people to know the existence of these data and exploit them.
