| Summary: | During the Spanish Civil War the newspapers were used as double-edged swords by the contenders. In the case of the groups linked to the Republic, their voices didn’t remain silent, they survived in the distance, where their thoughts went beyond the geographic limits of exile through important editorial projects. This was the case of Nuestra Bandera, a magazine born in Valencia in 1937 which was continued in Barcelona in 1938 by a group of militants from the Communist Party leaded by Dolores Ibárruri. Through it, their wished to promote the union among those who fought for their cause, give some news about the war advances, etc. And, unlike the others, after their defeat it didn´t extinguish: it was sent into exile to Mexico and France while surviving in the underground Spain.
