Summary:In this article, with a new optic, we study in depth about the relationship between the family inheritance, the strategies of transmission of the goods and the domestic consumption there were in the Baroque and the Enlightenment Castilian society. First, we analyse testamentary facts, because the woman could received very important bequests and mejoras, but in dresses and furnishing, and not in lands or houses that make firm her subsistence. In second hand, the dowry feminine reaffirm a system of ‘advance of legítimas’ in a very important consumer moment, moreover the cultural impact that her dresses showed in the foreign travellers.
