The syndrome is usually presented in childhood, with recurrent pneumonia and broncho-obstructive symptoms such as coughing and wheezing. When patients’ signs and symptoms include recurrent respiratory infections and diffuse bronchiectasis, Williams–Campbell syndrome should be included in the differential diagnosis.
