Myocardial bridge of the anterior descending artery. Two case reports

The anterior descending artery (LAD) is a branch of the left coronary artery (LCA), which supplies blood for left ventricle and septum. The coronary arteries and their branches have a subepicardical path; but, in this case it was observed a segment of the LAD with intramyocardial location which is c...

Two case reportsGuillermo Adrián Rivera-Cardona0Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali-ValleThe anterior descending artery (LAD) is a branch of the left coronary artery (LCA), which supplies blood for left ventricle and septum. The coronary arteries and their branches have a subepicardical path; but, in this case it was observed a segment of the LAD with intramyocardial location which is called “Myocardial Bridge”. This finding was observed during dissection in hearts a 50 and 60 years old man, with antecedents of hypertension (HT). The clinical relevance of the myocardial bridges could be related with chest pain and myocardial alteration, which should be evaluated by coronary angiography.http://revistas.unicauca.edu.co/index.php/rfcs/article/view/90epicardio, miocardio, circulación coronaria, infarto del miocardio, puente miocárdico
