Summary:The research analyzed the concerns of Physical Education teachers who were at the beginning of their careers. The descriptive study of qualitative approach had the participation of 16 effective teachers who were between the first and fourth year of teaching in the municipal and state schools of Maringá (Paraná). For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used and the information was analyzed according to the technical of content analysis. The results showed that all groups have concerns with the dimensions with self, task, task impact, social reality of the student, public policies for education and status of the discipline. In addition, it was observed that the restlessness of teachers with one and two years of career presented a more critical and resistant behavior to the norms of the institution, while teachers with three and four years of teaching presented a critical and mature attitude towards the problems of work.
