For that purpose, a questionnaire was developed which includes 39 questions related to the above-mentioned norm. This questionnaire was then submitted to companies that have projects as final products, as well as to companies that undertake project management in a systematic way. The research method consisted of an exploratory and descriptive field study through e-survey, which investigated the importance of the processes of project management. The answers were evaluated using statistical methods, namely Principal Components Analysis, which set the relative weights of each process. A parameterization was created to tabulate a score for each question, thus assessing the performance of project management of the organization. Hence the proposed model provides scores and criteria that will enable organizations to improve their processes continuously through systematic evaluations and the compilation of lessons learned.https://revista.feb.unesp.br/index.php/gepros/article/view/1914ProjectProject managementmaturity procedure for NBR ISO 21.500:2012
