Summary:Objective. Analyze the use of concept maps as didactic and pedagogical tools, from an experiment conducted in the classroom, in the disciplines Specialized Sources and Information Services of the graduation in Librarianship. Method. The methodological approach is characterized by its applied nature, exploratory and observation. Data were collected from the students by applying a questionnaire, and analysis took place with the help of content analysis techniques. Results. The most students see the conceptual maps as facilitators of knowledge construction, and view the use of these in different contexts, like the librarian activities. Conclusions. The use of concept maps as didactic and pedagogical tools can foster in students the enhancement of learning and reflection on the establishment of a route for the shared construction of new knowledge, adding previous knowledge and transforming them for use in cognitive fill gaps.
