Description
Summary:The objective of the work was to study the operation variables and scale change of the Zn-Ni coating production process and to analyze the quality of the material. The variables studied in the electrodeposition have been: current density, time, temperature, concentrations of ceramic micro-particles, influence of the organic additives used. The Ni content in the alloy gives an idea of the nobility of the material. The optimal thickness was found by X-ray diffraction. The maximum intensity of crystallographic textures was found at the optimum thickness; phases present and compressive forces in the material (desirable). In industrial plant, the E potential during electrodeposition is more positive or noble with CSi particles, the material has high quality, Ni 16 to 18 % measured by XRF; at the same time the Micro-hardness is 350 Hv. Electrochemical techniques were used, and analyzed microstructures by SEM, in samples made in the laboratory and industry.
