The Internet provides a wide range of opportunities to a person for self-presentation, and a virtual image allows you to maximize your personal potential. The purpose of this article was to find out what is behind the virtual image and what means the user chooses to express his/her personality in the network. Visual material analysis was chosen as the main method, and the Internet chats served as the research material. As a result, the author concluded that the virtual image is represented by a huge number of sub-images.
