Description
Summary:SI: Članek podaja pregled razvoja in dosežke tehničnega odbora ISO (TC) 211 – geografske informacije/ geomatika, ki je že razvil približno 45 mednarodnih standardov in tehničnih poročili za področje tehnologije GIS (skupina standardov ISO z oznako 191xx).Razvoj tehnologije narekuje nadaljevanje dela TC 211, kar trenutno pomeni razvoj približno 25 dodatnih standardov in specifikacij ISO. V članku sta opisani tudi nova vloga CEN/TC 287 GI, ki privzemamednarodne standarde odbora ISO 211 kot evropske standarde (EN) in vloga SIST/TC GIG, katerega namen je predvsem prevzem navedene skupine standardov in tehničnih poročil v sistem slovenskestandardizacije in njihova nadaljnja promocija. V sklepu so podane še nekatere zadrege in težave, ki nastopajo v Sloveniji pri uvajanju in uporabi opisanih standardov.EN: This paper presents an overview of development, state of the art and achievements of ISO Technical Committee (TC) 211 – Geographic Information/ Geomatics, which has developed a set of 45 ISOstandards and technical reports (group with 191xx ISO number). Recent developments in the field of GIS technology affect and stipulate the continuation of TC 211 work that is evident from its program for the coming years. The expected result will be a setof approximately 25 additional ISO standards and technical specifications. Furthermore, the paper describes the new role and activities of CEN/TC 287 GI, which adopts ISO standards of TC 211 asEuropean (EN) standards. Also the role of SIST/TC GIG is described that follows the activities of the above mentioned technical committees and adopts adequate Slovenian standards (SIST) and technical reports. The conclusions include some considerations about the obstacles and problems regarding the progress and acceptance of the standardization in Slovenia.
