The objective is to better capture what academic interests this novel has generated and how it has gone from being considered a mediocre product to becoming a classic of contemporary literature. Beginning in the seventies, I will expose the evolution of the critique and its most important contributions, focusing on those works that have represented a turning point in the studies on the novel.
