The number of housing residents who perform daily activities cause many travel patterns and characteristics of the trip. Means perangkutan has a very important role in order to increase the movement of the population. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of traveling people living in the Mount Housing Sendangmulyo and to determine whether the population needs to be a means perangkutan have been met by the service provider perangkutan. This research uses descriptive research approach percent. Data collection techniques used were: observation, questionnaire and documentation of the number of respondents 307 persons. Respondent was productive age population (working age) and including the middle class. The results showed that respondents who use public transport are those who do not have their own vehicle. Respondents who have their own vehicles rather use it than using a more economical transport, easier and faster to their destination. Users of public transport services is quite difficult and time for the trip is longer because it must wait for transport about 10-15 minutes. Many of them also have to change transport because the destination does not pass route. This shows that the public transport services still do not meet the population needs to travel
