| Summary: | The publication presents the official review of the first edition of S. I. Ojegov’s “Russian dictionary” (1949) written by Doctor of Philology F. P. Filin in the preceding preparation of the second edition of the dictionary of 1952 and stored in Russian Academy of Sciences Archive. In the review F. P. Filin’s vulgar-sociological, purist views were reflected. In the comment it is shown, on what compromises S. I. Ojegov was compelled to go when editing dictionary; it is noted that the lexicographer managed, despite political nature of the charges brought by the critic, to keep a number of the major principles of his main work and not to renounce quality of the dictionary. |
