This interest arises in the midst of a scenario that combines, concomitantly, the restructuring of productivity, the worsening of negative indicators for health and safety at work and also the risks associated with reaching corporate goals and objectives. It is in this context that organizations are increasingly investing in QWL. The aim of this text is to provide a 360 degree analysis of the hegemonic QWL practices found in Brazilian organizations, with the intention of providing evidence of their “welfaristic” nature, and, moreover, of their limitations for a genuine improvement in health and safety indicators.
