| Summary: | The author discusses some of the results of the research published in the collection “Portuguese Society vis-à-vis the Challenges of Globalization” in the light of the concepts of citizenship, exclusion, and solidarity, focusing particularly on the problematic of the “new social policies”. The commentary, mainly of a heuristic and epistemological nature, allows us to readdress the question of the contrast between a systemic analysis of globalization and a strategic analysis of excluded actors. |
